We both don't like the look of gutters; but as it is now the water drips partially on structure beam holding up overhang and partially near posts and could also splash on fence. So planning to install gutter and rain chain. Eric initially thought just v-flashing might work; but gutter folk say there is a reason that gutters are shaped as they are. Can't install it on the main crossbeam in usual fashion due to interference with cross beams. Bottom-line, it will be slightly less visible to me. So it will be installed covering the ends of the plastic on the smaller beam type piece of wood.
